Manchester United will hope to put the best down they suffered last week at Stamford Bridge behind them; as they will be hosting Burnley this Saturday afternoon.
Manchester United was defeated 4-0 by Chelsea last weekend. However, they got a needed win by defeating rivals Manchester City 1-0 in the EFL Cup. Now, Mourinho’s squad will hope to build on that victory to grab another win at home this Saturday.
Meanwhile, Burnley will hope to build on their home win against Everton. Burnley has been fluctuating in the last few weeks, even before the Everton win, they lost two straight games. Burnley has only two wins in their last five contest. Burnley is sitting in 14th place in the Premier League table with 10 points, 3 points above the relegation zone. A win in this contest will ensure they stay out of the drop zone in the short term.
Prediction: Despite the humiliating defeat at Stamford Bridge last weekend, some United fans are still behind Moutinho. However, should the result be a non-win, will United fans start to turn on Mourinho? History shows that United is a team that can beat Burnley, which means that United are the favourites in this fixture. I believe this would be a statement win for United.
