Was Charlotte's Win Over Sasha Banks the Right Booking Decision

Welcome back to the latest edition of the Wrestling Take. This week, I'll get into the debate of the main event of last week's Hell in a Cell main event, in which Charlotte regain her WWE Women's Championship against Sasha Banks.

Did Charlotte Deserve to Defeat Sasha Banks: Oh hell no. This was the worst booking decision WWE made. I have no problem against Charlotte, but her winning the championship three times is stale. For the past year, she's held the WWE Women's Championship for 12 months. We've watched her do shenanigans, in which it has led to Ric Flair playing a role in those shenanigans, and then add Dana Brooke to the mix. I understand Sasha losing the title at SummerSlam because of the fact there were rumors of an injury, but putting the title back on her and then losing the title in Boston? Isn't the face supposed to come out and win? Instead, we have Charlotte continuing her single run dominance on PPV matches. WWE had an opportunity to book a Sasha vs. Nia Jax, or even Sasha vs. Bayley for WrestleMania 33, but instead, we get Charlotte as champion. This should've been Sasha winning in her hometown, but we got a joke of a booking decision. As far as the match goes, I thought it was better than the Rollins vs. Owens match. My reasoning is because they sold the story of Sasha's back injury and Charlotte attacking it throughout the match. Also, the brawl before the match even started was well done and this was the right storyline to pull out the stretcher job. I mean this was a brutal match that lasted 15 minutes. Rollins vs. Owens may have had the better chemistry because they told a great story of Rollins overcoming adversity until Jericho stuck his nose in Rollins business. But Charlotte vs. Sasha had no shenanigans.

Overall Thoughts on 2016 Hell in a Cell: Hell in a Cell was a good show, but it had some flaws. The body of work was solid and excellent, and I thought they did a good job of making the three cell matches different, but the booking had some issues. The ending of the Cruiserweight match and the Tag Title match. In all honestly, if they had changed some of the booking issues, this show goes from a 7 out of 10 to a 9 of 10. But I'm sticking with the 7 out of 10 rating.
