UFC 205 Preview & Prediction

This Saturday night, the UFC will be live exclusively on pay-per-view with the biggest event of the year. It is the first major MMA event that will be held at Madison Square Garden, and we have a triple main event. Without further ado, here is my preview and predictions for UFC 205.

Miesha Tate vs. Raquel Pennington: Miesha Tate is a superior fighter over Raquel Pennington, whether it's her wrestling or submission game. She also holds the advantage in athleticism. Regarding her attacking, Pennington is tough as nails and is improving, even though Tate can throw herself, where she should avoid extended periods standing up. Tate will drag Pennington and win this contest.

Kelvin Gastelum vs. Donald Cerrone: When it's a standup game, Donald Cerrone holds an advantage regarding power. Kelvin Gastelum can box, but Cerrone is on another level. Regarding wrestling, Gastelum holds that advantage, even though taking Cerrone on the ground is a tough task. Cerrone loves to grapple and can submit. Give me Cerrone to get a victory here.

Chris Weidman vs. Yoel Romero: Both fighters are wrestlers, though Yoel Romero has the edge due to his Olympic experiences. Chris Weidman can also hold on the ground as well. When it comes to standing up, Romero has the advantage, whereas Weidman is quick and technical. This is a tough fight to predict, but Weidman has the edge in this fight.

Joanna Jedrezjczyk (C) vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz: The first of three title fights, and a rematch for both of these fighters. In their first match, Jedrezjczyk was the winner, where she defeated Kowalkiewicz by submission. Since then, both fighters have been dominating. Both fighters are undefeated. In the end, Jedrezjczyk will win this second encounter.

Tyron Woodley (C) vs. Stephen Thompson: Tyron Woodley shocked the world by defeating Robbie Lawler, where he knocked him out. Woodley has the advantage in wrestling and will stay away from Stephen Thompson's kickboxing. Thompson is a technical fighter, has power, and is a great kickboxer with improved wrestling defense and offense, as he has worked out with Weidman. I believe that Thompson will stay out of Woodley's wheelhouse and land some shots that are devastating, in which I see a new Welterweight champion.

Eddie Alvarez (c) vs. Conor McGregor: Now it's time to break down this fight, and it's interesting. In standup, McGregor has the advantage of being a technical fighter and Alvarez has the power. Both fighters have great chins and can take a major shot. In the grappling game, Alvarez has a huge wrestling advantage and will use that on McGregor. If he uses that game, that will wear down McGregor. The wrestling game will be the huge x-factor in this fight, hence why i have Alvarez winning this fight.
